H.o.p. had big plans the year of this photo for making a dragon costume.

He drew the dragon head on cardboard, we cut it out and put it together so it fit on his head perfectly, and we labored for a couple of days layering it with paper mache. After it was dry, H.o.p. began to paint it but then abandoned the project when he felt the head was too heavy to be comfortably worn for much longer than a couple of minutes, which was a big disappointment for him.
