One place we used to live in, we found in the attic a bench that reminded me very much of a museum bench. We had zero living room furniture but we suddenly had this spacious living room in this old old house. I put the bench in the living room, my paintings hung all over the walls. And to me it was quite funny, the paintings with this single museum style bench in the middle of the room and no other furniture. I kept waiting for friends and visitors to get the joke but I don’t think anyone ever did. I think they all just wished we had comfortable seating.
