When Design Says "Who Needs You" to Function

This chair looks about as comfortable to sit on as thousands of nail heads.

    No, I hadn’t seen that.

How in the hell did they think that up? Was it a matter of something they smoked, a joke that demanded to be realized when they sobered up? Did they discover you could melt rope and decided they wanted to make a melted rope chair but that turned too problematic so they instead melted a chair form into the rope?

There’s nothing about that chair that make me want to sit in it or have it around, even as a novelty.

All that chair makes me wonder is how in the hell did they conceive of it and what made them think it was a good idea.

I went ahead and looked up the designer’s website.

This one looks about as comfortable as sitting on a fence.
